Visiting a patient
Visits are important for patients’ recovery and wellbeing. To preserve calm and safety on the wards, we ask visitors to observe the visiting hours and arrangements.
General visiting hours
Every day from 14.00 to 20.00
Some wards have different visiting hours. This applies, for example, to paediatrics, maternity, intensive care and day hospital.

Arrangements for visitors
- Do not visit if you are ill.
- Respect the patient’s rest and that of other patients.
- Limit the number of visitors in the room.
- Disinfect your hands when entering and leaving.
- Follow instructions from nurses and doctors.
- Do not take photos or videos without permission.
- Do not bring food, flowers or equipment without asking first.
Visiting intensive care
Different visiting arrangements apply in intensive care.
Always report to the nurses’ station first. The care team will discuss with the family what is possible.
Children visiting
Children are welcome when accompanied by an adult.
Prepare children calmly for the visit. If in doubt, contact the ward.
Frequently asked questions
May I visit outside visiting hours?
In exceptional situations, the ward may allow an exception. Contact the nursing ward in advance.
Where can I wait?
Every campus has a reception area, waiting areas and a cafeteria.
May I bring something?
Yes, but ask in advance whether food, flowers or equipment are allowed on the ward.
Can Hana tell me where a patient is?
No. Hana does not provide personal information about patients. For personal questions, you will be connected with a staff member.
